Michael & Liz are Bloggable

Last week wasn't so hot for me. There were a ton of games though that could have gone either way. For example, San Francisco had NO right losing to Carolina, St. Louis had NO right losing to Tampa Bay, and how did Houston beat Kansas City? Three last minute victories that I thought I had in the bag. That was a CRAZY football weekend.

There are some really really tough picks this week. A lot of games that are just toss ups in my opinion.

Quick Thoughts on the Games: 
Buffalo might have a really good shot at 0-16. The relatively easier teams on their schedule (Detroit, Cleveland) are playing better every week.

St. Louis has played really well at home, so I'll go with them.

Denver would be the easy pick if it weren't for the Oakland game, now I have no idea. The 49ers are so much better than 1-6. 4 of their losses were by 3 points or less. So I'm guessing this game will be close?

The Redskins are borderline playoffs right now, and you can't lose to Detroit in that position.

Why are the Jets good??! Running and stopping the run? Cuz they are awful at everything else. There's the formula.

This is the last time I pick Cincinnati if they lose, and I think they will. I just can't bring myself to do it.

Jon Kitna is one of those backups where you say "Oh man, thank goodness we have Kitna". He's not great enough to lead a team every week (see Detroit & Cincinnati), but he's a legitimate temporary fill-in. Interesting, I just found this article, I'm surprised Kitna's not mentioned. It's funny that article (from June) says the 5th worst is Michael Vick. That's obviously proved to be very wrong. Kitna threw 2 TD's in the 4th quarter to make the game close against the Giants. This game will show just how bad Dallas is though.

Tennessee will have to fight for this one, it will be close. Even New England had a tough time in San Diego last week.

Tampa Bay & Arizona, does anyone REALLY think these teams are worth anything? How are they a combined 7-5. Football doesn't make sense.

New England beat Baltimore at home, they better beat Minnesota too

The question for Oakland/Seattle is, which teams will show up? Both have been see-sawing from good to terrible. Is Oakland's 59 a fluke? Seattle has the 2nd best rush defense in the league so Oakland won't have it so easy this week.

If Cleveland comes to New Orleans and wins, you better believe Pittsburgh will too.

Indianapolis gets revenge on Houston. Houston, on the season, is about 3 minutes away from being 2-4. I just don't get the feeling they are that great.
